Larry Foulke, Vice President and President-Elect of the
American Nuclear Society, has “high ambitions for nuclear power in the
United States” but noted that there have been no new orders for nuclear
power plants in 25 years, due primarily to financial barriers. He cited
the need for more aggressive short-term government investment in the
nuclear industry and discussed financial vehicles and business models that
would support a nuclear power renaissance. |
