As a result, Diaz noted, “security at U.S. nuclear
facilities is already where it should be, significantly enhanced from what
was already good.… We are working at both ends of the spectrum on
security against terrorist attacks,… decreasing the probability of
success and decreasing the potential consequences.” The United States is
also working on improving the security of all sources of radioactive
material and is sharing security information internationally through
bilateral agreements. |
